Geodesic domeThis is our geodesic dome which absorbs sunlight directly across the full arc of the sun. It is used for starting seedlings and houses some cold sensitive perennials such as pomegranate, guava and avocado.
Swale from roadSwale that feeds the pond…from road side
PondThe pond before final touches - floating island, pumps, plants.
Swale behind buildingSwale that drains pond overflow
Energy BuildingThe raised hill behind the solar panel is an actual building housing the solar power inverters and irrigation equipment. The building is surrounded by water cisterns enclosed in the hill which collects the filtered water and stores for use in irrigation.

Farm Centre ConstructionThe lower floor walls were built with Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF). The main floor of the second level was completed with a pre-engineered concrete slab - both floors are equipped with in-floor radiant heat.
Erecting the Wind TurbineA large crane was required to lift the blades to the top of the turbine.
Turbine Blades going up
Turbine Blade ConnectionAssembling the blades onto the head of the turbine.
Building Shell UpFarm Centre has building wrap applied and the roof on! Just need windows/doors to start holding heat.
Pond ConstructionPerfect time of year to dig and mold a pond.
Barn AdditionFrame of new barn being added to old barn section.
Garlic Drying
Outdoor ClassroomThe outdoor classroom was built in a circular pattern of stone complete with electrical outlets. It was centrally located to several key points of interest - pollinators's glade, pond, energy building, solar panels, wind turbine.
